THE BEST LONDON HALAL RESTAURANTS FOR EID WHEN RAMADAN 2024 COMES TO END
The holy month of Ramadan is coming to an end in just under a fortnight, which means Eid al-Fitr is just around the corner. Eid is a huge Islamic celebration to the end of the dawn to sunset fasting of Ramadan.
This year Eid will happen on the evening of Tuesday, April 9, lasting through to the next day. Ten days later on Saturday 20 April there will be a celebration for Eid in Trafalgar Square - Eid in the Square. The free festival laid on by the Mayor of London will have activities, markets stalls and a feast of global food stalls to tempt you with as well as exciting acts on the main stage.
But for those who want to enjoy an intimate meal with family and friends before the public shindig, there are a wealth of halal options available in the capital.

Brigadiers
The first up is a beautiful Indian restaurant in the heart of London - Brigadiers. This beautiful restaurant right in the middle of the Square Mile in Bloomberg Arcade is packed with decadent leather furnishings with deep red and gold trim and that is even before you try their delicious halal lamb chops or chicken wings.
The restaurant even has a pool room for after supper when you can knock 'em in with full bellies or you can sit back and watch sport on their HD TV room. It's got 4.5 stars from 2,077 reviews on Google.

Sadaf Restaurant (Garden)
Next is a Persian restaurant in Kensington and Chelsea called Sadaf Restaurant (Garden). Just of Kensington High Street near Hyde Park serving delicious koftas paired with delicious flavoured rice, roasted vegetables and traditional sauces. The mixed mezze there is fantastic and they also serve delicious freshly baked naan.
Reviewers say the portions are hefty which is perfect for those who have just been fasting for a month. The setting is spacious with luminous lighting. If that's not your bag there is another location called Sadaf - Finest Persian Cuisine in Westbourne Grove on the other side of Hyde Park with slightly more traditional aesthetic, while maintaining the spacious modern vibe simultaneously.
Hoppers
This Sri Lankan eatery really is a must-visit for Eid celebratory meals. With amazing lamb shanks and prawns so fat and juicy it may even be slightly alarming, Hopper has perfected one of the best cuisines the world has to offer, according to The Infatuation.
There are places in Camden, King's Cross, Soho and Marylebone. The King's Cross one is the largest so if you've got a big group of hungry faster this is probably the most suitable.

Hong Kong Restaurant
Chinese is usually difficult for halal food, with lots of pork and rarely halal meats. However Hong Kong Restaurant in Islington does serve halal duck so could be a great change up to what you're used to. It also features whole soy chicken and fried shredded crispy beef and there is no risk of pork contamination because it doesn't serve any.
